Product Overview
The Ramp Adjustable Pressure Limiting is used along with Adjustable Pressure Limiting (APL) valves. The ramp is placed above APL diaphragm. The APL valve is used to limit the amount of pressure build during manual ventilation. When the user adjusts the APL valve to trap more gas inside the breathing circuit, a spring inside it is compressed and forces lifting of diaphragm thus providing a limit. The ramp is rotated on the diaphragm so that the ramp tabs are inserted into slots. APL valve can either be completely closed (no gas vented) or completely open (all gas vented), hence the ramp plays a vital role in locking the valve firmly.
