Product Overview
Socket Button Head Machine Screws have a hexagonal recess and is driven using a hex wrench or insert bit. This makes this screws much more efficient than the slotted screw products as the hex socket drive has more resistance to cam out and can be used with power drivers enabling faster use and higher torque to be achieved. This screw is made up of type 316 stainless steel. This material has significantly improved corrosion resistance especially when exposed to seawater and many types of chemicals. They contain molybdenum, which gives the steel better resistance to surface pitting. These steels have higher tensile and creep strengths at elevated temperatures than other austenitic alloys. Stainless steel also maintain the excellent toughness. This screw is being used in many anesthesia machines in medical field such as Maternal-Infant Care Giraffe™ OmniBed, Maternal-Infant Care Giraffe™ OmniBed and Giraffe™ Incubator etc.
