Product Overview
A washer is a circular disk which has a hole in center and used to distribute the load of threaded fastener material bolt or nut on it. In split washers, the ring is split at one point and bent into a helical shape. This makes the washer to adept a force between the fasteners head and the substrate. When a screw is tighten, these washers flatten to add tension to the joint and prevent from small amount of vibration, which creates more friction and resistance to rotation. This part is made up of stainless steel with passivate finish. Stainless steels are iron-based alloys, which contains minimum of chromium around 10.5%. The presence of chromium offers corrosion resistance to stainless steel and helps to resist scaling at elevated temperatures. Stainless steel also maintain the excellent toughness. Passivate finish adds more corrosion resistance to the material.
